Immunopathogenesis of Food Allergy and Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders Study
About the study
This study will evaluate how the immune system responds to food allergens, which may help find better treatment options for people with various allergic, hypersensitivity, and inflammatory disorders.
Who can participate?
You may be eligible if you are at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with one of the following conditions:
- Eosinophil-associated gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs) including eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) or eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG)
- Peanut or milk allergy with severe symptoms such as hives, wheezing or throat closing
What does the study involve?
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to:
- Provide informed consent
- Attend two study visits
- Provide blood samples and possibly undergo other study-related exams and procedures
Participants will be paid for their time.
