ICON Development Solutions is recruiting postmenopausal females with risk factors for or a diagnosis of osteoporosis, ages of 45-75, for a clinical research study. The purpose of the study is to test the safety and tolerability of an investigational medication. The study drug is being developed for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal females and will be given as an intramuscular injection.
Vital signs, ECGs, physical examinations, bone density scans (lower back, hip, upper thigh), blood and urine samples will be obtained and performed during this study. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be female
Be 45-75 years of age with osteoporosis or risk factors for osteoporosis
Some examples of risk factors are: Postmenopausal, Over 45 years of age, Small frame, Eating disorder, Smoker
Weigh less than 300 pounds
Be postmenopausal (no period for at least 2 years)
Not have been treated with any oral osteoporosis medications in the past 6 months or injectable osteoporosis medications in the past 12 months
Complete up to 3 screening visits and 11 overnight visits (non-consecutive)
