| Study summary: |
|
This study is evaluating the effects of an oral investigational medication on the progression of athersclerosis as well as the lipid profile. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18-70 years of age
Have documented cholesterol >350 or
Have documented untreat LDL >200 or
Have documented treated LDL >130
Participants must also:
Have documented Xanthoma or
Have a relative who died prematurely due to CAD before age 65 or
Have documented nntreated cholesterol >350 and/or LDL >190 in 1st degree relative or
Have documented treated cholesterol
>280 and/or LDL >160 in 1st degree relative |
| Participants will receive: |
|
Study Medication, Physical Exams, Lab Tests, EKG,Nutritional Counsling, Carotid Scans. Participants will also be compensated up $425 for study completion; |
