A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controled, phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerablility of JNJ-27018966 in the treatment of patients with diarrhea-predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18 to 80 years of age
Have a diagnosis of IBS with a subtype of diarrhea
Have had a colonoscopy in last 10 years, if 50 years old or greater
Have pain of >3.0 on a scale of 1-10 in the last week
Be able to complete electronic daily diaries
Average daily stool consistency score (BSS) of > or equal to 5.5
Meet other qualifying factors that will be discussed with study staff
