Study summary:

This is an Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) study for patients who suffer from IBS, abdominal discomfort, change in bowel habits, and other conditions from IBS. The 6 month study will test a medication not FDA approved for abdominal discomfort and symptom relief for IBS.

Qualified participants must:

• Have been diagnosed with IBS
• Have had a colonoscopy of flex sig in last five years, or be willing to undergo one
• Be able to come off of current therapy for duration of the trial

Participants will receive:

Colonoscopy/Felx sig if needed, medication, study related medical care, and lab tests
