Study summary:

The purpose of this study is to see how safe and effective Lovaza is and how well it will work to treat Atrial Fibrillation. You will receive either Lovaza, a highly refined concentrated Omega-3 fatty acid or placebo. If you experience an episode of Afib while on the study your doctor may use standard therapy to treat your AFib.

Qualified participants must:

• Be over 18 years old
• Have a medical history of atrial fibrillation episodes and symptoms associated with the condition
• Not have undergone cardiac surgery within the last 6 months

Participants will receive:

Study medication, testing, physician visits, monitoring with 24 hour heart monitor, and compensation for time and travel.
