| Study summary: |
|
A multicenter, randomized, double-blind, parallel-group, placebo-controlled study of the efficacy and safety of Quetiapine Fumarate Extended-Release (Seroquel XR) Compared with placebo as an adjunct to treatment in patients with Generalized Anxiety Disorder who demonstrate partial or no response to selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor or retonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor alone or in combination with a benzodiazepine. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18-65 years of age
Be taking either Lexapro, Paxil, Effexor XR, or Cymbalta for the last 8 weeks and will remain on this medicine in the study |
| Participants will receive: |
|
12 visits over 3 months to our office. Study medication or placebo along with GAD med. currently taking. All study visits will be seen by a study coordinator and physician. No insurance or co-pay's are needed. We will reimburse for transportation to the office for study appointments. All study related procedures which may include, blood work, EKG's, Physical Exams, psychiatric assessments are provided through the study these are at no cost to the patient. |
