| Study summary: |
|
We are currently conducting a 24-week treatment, double blind, study to evaluate the effectiveness of the study GnrH antagonist oral medication for the reduction of pain and endometriosis symptoms.
A 150 mg dosage tablet, a 250 mg dosage tablet and placebo are used.
Women randomized to placebo are automatically rolled over to study drug treatment at 12 weeks.
Participants have a 33% chance of receiving placebo, but then only for half of the study treatment duration. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18 to 49 years of age
Have a surgical diagnosis of Endometriosis within the past 8 years from study start and be able to provide the study center with a copy of their last surgical report
Have an intact uterus and both ovaries
Be able to use condoms and spermicide for contraception during study (if S.A.)
Have monthly menses approximately 28 +/- 5 days apart
Be willing to wash out of hormonal birth control pills after signing consent
Not have had Lupron, Danazol, or DepoProvera treatment in the past 3-6 months

Study related physical exams, TVUs, lab-work, DEXA scans, study medication and up to $75.00 per completed visit. |
