Study summary:

If you have constipation from prescription pain medication, we may be able to help. We are conducting a research study on an investigational drug for constipation related to using prescription pain medications such as Lortab, Percocet and OxyContin.

Qualified participants must:

• Be over 18 years of age
• Have been taking your prescribed pain medication for 30 days or more
• Have an average of 3 or less bowel movements per week
• Must be willing to use and electronic diary that is supplied to you
• Must be taking the medication for any pain other than cancer pain
• You may continue with your current pain medication while in the study

Participants will receive:

Study related care, the study drug at no cost to you, eligibility to participate in another study if you complete the first study, and compensation for time and travel.
