| Study summary: |
|
A double-blind, product comparison, randomized, two arm study to test the safety and efficacy of a state-of-the-art plant-based topical skin cream on acne. This is a 30-day FREE study starting soon. The cream is designed to minimize the appearance of acne as compared with typical acne creams and lotions now on the market.
Visit our clinic four times during the 30-day study and spend a total of 5 hours over that 30 days at the clinic. Clinic days are Day #1, Day #4, Day #9 and Day #30. Blood draws will occur on the first three clinic visit days. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Be healthy adults aged 18 – 80
•
Have an active acne outbreak
•
Speak fluent English
•
Not be receiving concurrent treatment with digitalis and digoxin
•
Not be allergic or sensitive to oleander, cardiac glycosides or benzoyl peroxide
•
Not be using immunomodulators, systemic corticosteroids or chemotherapeutic
•
Not be receiving concurrent treatment with Isotretinoin, and oral antibiotics
•
Not be using any other topical acne medications (prescription medications and over the counter drugs)
•
Not be receiving concurrent Phototherapy (laser treatment)
•
Not be having malignant conditions (SCC), basal cell carcinoma (BCC), or melanoma in the target area
•
Not be immune compromised due to HIV infection, organ transplantation, or treatment of malignancy
•
Not have current signs or symptoms of severe, progressive, or uncontrolled renal, hepatic, hematologic, gastrointestinal, endocrine, pulmonary, cardiac, neurologic, or cerebral disease
•
Not be infected with HIV, hepatitis B or hepatitis C
•
Not be diagnosed with idiopathic subaortic stenossi, diffuse cardiomypathia, constrictive pericarditis and Wolf-Parkinson-White Syndrome (WPW)
•
Not be diagnosed with renal insufficiency
•
Not have known electrolyte abnormalities (hypokalemia, hyperkalemia, hypomagnesemia and hypercalcemia)
•
Not be women, who are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant, or are nursing, and who don't use any form of contraception during the time of the study |
