Study summary: AFIB3297 AFib changes lives in a heartbeat. Simple activities can become stressful events... and a person with A-fib is three to five times more likely to have a stroke than the general population. We are conducting a research study of a medication called Lovaza, formerly known as Omacor a highly refined, concentrated, Omega-3 fatty acid to determine its safety and effectiveness in the treatment of A-Fib. While approved to help lower triglycerides, its use for A-fib is experimental and has not been proven. You may be eligible to participate in this study if you: are over 18 years old (females may not be pregnant or breast-feeding); have a history of Afib episodes and symptomes associated with the condition. If you qualify for this study, you will receive either Lovaza or placebo and you will need to attend up to six visits over a 24-week period. All study participants will receive study-related medical treatment, lab tests, and study drug at no cost. Don't let your heartbeat change you... call today.... Om8 Afib
