|
We are conducting a study to see how quitting smoking for 24 hours affects the brain of a smoker. We will measure your brain activity using an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine while you do a computerized task. We will do this once after you smoke your usual amount and once after you quit smoking for 24 hours. You do not have to be interested in quitting smoking to be in this study; but you must be willing to stay quit for a total of 48 hours.
The study consists of about 5 visits and is typically completed within 1 month. You will be paid up to $250.

| Qualified participants must: |

Be 18-50 years of age
Be a healthy male or healthy, non-pregnant female
Be right-handed
Be a smoker
