Study summary: The NeuroDevelopment Center is conducting research studying genetic, brain, and cognitive factors that predict drug treatment response and non-response in patients with major depression.

We need volunteers who are feeling depressed as well as non-depressed, healthy controls. All volunteers will be compensated for their participation.

The goal is to find brain markers that will help doctors know which medication will be most helpful.

This study involves:
- four 3 hour visits
- eight brief telephone interviews
- a blood sample
Qualified participants must: • Be 18-65 years of age
• Be a primary English speaker
• Have feelings of depression
• Have not used anti-depressant medications recently
• Meet study criteria after a medical screening and clinical assessment
Participants will receive: Compensation for time spent in participation in the amount of $330.
