This is a 26 week study to evaluate study medication versus placebo followed by long-term 52 week study if complete first trial. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Be at least 18 years of age
•
Have abdominal pain or discomfort
•
Have bloating and/or straining
•
Have fewer than 3 bowel movements per week
•
Be available for 10 clinic visits over a period of about 32 weeks |
| Participants will receive: |

Study medication at no cost, study-related medical evaluations at no cost, and compensation for time and travel. |
