This clinical research study is evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational birth control pill for treating menstrually-related migraine headaches (headaches that occur just before or during the first few days of your menstrual period). Non-smoking women 18 to 34 years of age who meet the study criteria may qualify. This study is approximately 20 weeks long with 5 study visits and compares an investigational drug to placebo, a look alike drug that does not have any active medicine. Although the investigational drug is a birth control pill, the purpose of this study is not to prevent pregnancy, so you must be willing to use a non-hormonal form of birth control for the duration of the study. You will have a 50/50 chance of receiving the investigational birth control pill. |
