If your doctor has told you that you have coronary heart disease (blocked or narrowing arteries in the heart), you may qualify to participate in a clinical research study.
The purpose of the study is to test how safe and helpful an investigational drug called darapladib is in preventing coronary artery plaque from rupturing, which in turn may lead to a decrease in death, heart attack, and stroke in people with coronary heart disease. Participants in the study will continue taking medications already prescribed by their doctor for treatment of their coronary heart disease. |
