If you have not received your 2009 flu vaccine yet, you may be eligible to participate in this research study that compares an investigational flu vaccine with a standard flu vaccine that is currently available. Those who qualify will receive one of these active vaccines, so there is no placebo (inactive substance). To be eligible for the study, you must be 60 years of age or older, medically stable, be willing to attend 3 study visits over 6 months and participate in 6 phone calls. Compensation up to $450 is available for your time and travel if you qualify. All study-related blood work and exams are provided to qualified participants at no cost. |
