This study will last approximately 3 months. Qualified participants must: • Be greater than 18 years of age • Be of African American descent • Be willing to discontinue current blood pressure medication • Have a diagnosis of hypertension • Not have a history of cancer within the last 5 years • Not have poorly controlled Diabetes with a HgbA1c >8.0 Participants will receive: Compensation for time and travel up to $950, study related medications at no cost, and lab work and physical exams.
