| Study summary: |
|
We are currently conducting a phase 3 study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a study drug for African American patients with moderate to severe hypertension. This study will last approximately 3 months. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be greater than 18 years of age
Be of African American descent
Be willing to discontinue current blood pressure medication
Have a diagnosis of hypertension
Not have a history of cancer within the last 5 years
Not have poorly controlled Diabetes with a HgbA1c >8.0 |
| Participants will receive: |
|
Compensation for time and travel up to $950, study related medications at no cost, and lab work and physical exams. |
