Neuropathic pain (pain arising from the nervous system) can happen after people are injured and with certain disease, like shingles. Sometimes people with neuropathic pain have pain when they are touched by something that should not cause pain or have severe pain when they are touched by something that should only cause a little pain. This study is being carried out to determine if an investigational medication is effective in treating neuropathic pain. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18-80 years of age
Be experiencing painful symptoms due to peripheral neuropathic pain associated with mechanical hypersensitivity for at least three months or up to five years |
