| Study summary: |
|
To determine if the study drug is effective in treating patients with moderate to severe neuropathic pain. 12 week study with 7 visits. 40-52 week study drug extension phase if you choose to participate. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Not be diabetic
•
Be 18- 80 years of age
•
Have pain for at least 6 months
•
Be on up to 2 medications for neuralgia pain taken at a steady dose for at least 3 months and must have a touch tone phone |
| Participants will receive: |
|
Study medication or placebo, a possible $405 compensation. May continue in an extension study if medication is working for you. |
