Study summary:
New Research Study for ADHD According to the National Institute for Mental Health, ADHD affects as many as 2 million children…..that’s an estimated 1 child in every classroom. If your child is still having trouble with ADHD symptoms and can answer YES to all of these questions: • Between 6 and 17 years old? • Taking a single stable dose of a long acting stimulant? • Has a diagnosis of ADHD? • Are you and your child willing to consider adding a non-stimulant ADHD medication in combination with their current stimulant medication? He or she may be eligible to participate in this trial. This study will test the safety and efficacy of an investigational non-stimulant ADHD medication when used in combination with a long acting stimulant medication currently taken to treat ADHD. • Study lasts up to 14 weeks • You will continue to pay the cost of your child’s ADHD medication • If your child qualifies, all research related care, study medication and office visits are provided at no cost. Many children with ADHD are taking medications but are still having trouble with ADHD symptoms at home or at school. This can be very frustrating for kids and their families.
