Study summary:

Depression Research Medication Study for Children and Teens
Symptoms of depression in children can include sadness, crying when angered, extreme sensitivity to failure, poor concentration, trouble sleeping or increased irritability.
If you think your child seems unhappy, sad, or hopeless, it may be depression.
Now there’s a new research study for depression in children and teens, ages 7-17.
We are researching the investigational use of an approved medication to see if it may reduce the symptoms of depression in children.
If your child qualifies, all research related care, study medication and research related office visits are provided at no cost.
You do not need insurance to participate. Summit Research Network has been studying depression and other related conditions for over 15 years.
Children and teenagers who cause trouble at home or at school may be suffering from depression. They may also withdraw from friends and family, or lose interest and joy in things that used to make them happy. They may feel they are no good and express that the world is a difficult place and they are helpless to do anything about it.
