|
We are currently recruiting patients who have high cholesterol that are willing to participate in a research study in this area. The study involves taking a medication by mouth to see if it will lower elevated triglycerides in people who have high cholesterol. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Have high cholesterol
•
Have risk factors for heart disease which might include one of the following: type 2 diabetes, history of stroke and/or history of heart attack
•
Be willing to take Lipitor daily as well as the study medication
•
Not be taking the following medications: Tricor, Triplex, Niaspan
•
Be willing to attend all required study visits |
| Participants will receive: |

Qualified participants will receive at no charge physical exams, routine labs, study-related assessments, and study medications. |
