| Study summary: |
|
We are currently recruiting patients who have Type 2 diabetes who are willing to participate in a research study in this area. The study is assessing whether a new medication that is given under the skin, by injection, once a month will improve blood sugar control. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Have Type 2 diabetes
•
Be 18-74 years of age
•
Have no diagnosis of cancer of any organ within the last 5 years (skin cancer is okay)
•
Have no stroke, heart attack or TIA within the last 6 months
•
Take Metformin as your first and only treatment for diabetes >1000mg per day OR not currently taking any medications for your diabetes
•
Not currently be taking insulin |
| Participants will receive: |

Qualified participants will receive at no charge study supplies, physical exams, routine labs, study medication and supervision by a local experienced study physician. |
