| Study summary: |
|
Male or females age 18-65 with failure to respond to at least 2 separate treatment courses of different anti-depressants (at least 6 weeks) within the current episode of depression. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Not have Bipolar Disorder
Not have psychosis
Be using acceptable birth control
Not have Parkinson's, Schizophrenia or seizures
Not be receiving hormonal therapy
May have diabetes with controlled blood sugars
Not be on clozaril, zyprexa, prozac or electro-convulsant therapy
Have adequate dosages of anti-depressants
Some examples of anti-depressants you have tried might include: elavil, wellbutrin, celexa, analafril, norpramine, cymbalta, lexapro, paxil, serzone, trazadone, remeron, norpramine, tofranil, nortryptyline, effexor or zoloft
