Have you or someone you love been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease?
Wake Research Associates is participating in a nationwide study evaluating the effects of a once-a-day nutritional drink on individuals with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s Disease.
What is the purpose of this study?
The purpose of this study is to test whether a nutritional drink is effective and safe for the dietary management of Alzheimer’s Disease.
What will you be asked to do?
You will be asked to consume a nutritional drink once every day for a period of 6 months. During this time, you will be regularly monitored and tested by study staff for any changes in your memory and thinking abilities. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be clinically diagnosed with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer’s Disease
Be taking an FDA approved medication for Alzheimer’s Disease (Aricept, Exelon, Razadyne, and/or Namenda) for the past 4 months
Be 50 years of age or older
Not have been previously diagnosed with vascular dementia, Huntington’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, or seizures
Not be living in a nursing home
Be able to have a caregiver or study partner be with you during all study visits and telephone calls

Study-related medical examinations and study medication at no cost. Compensation may be provided for time and travel. |
