The study duration is 111-124 weeks with 18 visits. This study is for individuals who have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and are currently taking metformin. Metformin is sold as Glucophage, Glucophage XR, Glumetza, Fortamet, and Riomet. The sponser of the study is evaluating an investigational drug to learn if it may be useful in treating Type 2 Diabetes. |
| Qualified participants must: |

• Be 18-80 years of age
Have a diagnosis of Type 2 diabetes
•
Be taking Metformin monotherapy or in combination with one other oral antihyperglycemic agent.

| Participants will receive: |

Physical, labs, study medication free of cost, home blood glucose monitoring system, and compensation up to $900.oo for time and travel. |
