The EMERGE 8 Study is a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication for Type 2 diabetes in people who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have a history of heart disease. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Be 18 years of age or older
•
Have uncontrolled blood sugar levels
•
Have a history of heart disease such as heart attack, stroke, peripheral artery disease, unstable angina or chest pain

| Participants will receive: |
|
All study related medications, medical exams, labs, EKGs, and diabetic supplies (ACCU-CHEK) at no charge. Participants will be closely monitored by the study physician. Compensation for time and travel is available. |
