Study summary: Could a simple scan show your risk for heart disease? Did you know that a simple scan of the artery in the neck has been shown to correlate to arteries in your heart? Research is underway in your area to determine if a cholesterol medication combined with an investigational medication can reduce plaque build-up in the arteries. If you have high cholesterol, are taking a cholesterol medication, or have a history of heart disease, you may qualify for this study. All qualified participants will receive a scan of the neck artery, investigational medication and standard cholesterol therapy at no cost as part of this study. Compensation for travel may be available to those who qualify.
