| Study summary: |
|
We are currently recruiting patients who have rheumatoid arthritis who are willing to participate in a research study in this area. The study is assessing whether 12 months of treatment with the study medication in combination with Methotrexate will be non-inferior to Adalimumab in combination with Methotrexate in improving clinical signs/symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Have moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis
Have failed Methotrexate therapy
Have not had RA biologic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug(DMARD) therapy
Have had rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis for at least 5 years
Be willing to give themselves injections or have a caregiver do it for them
Not have Hepatitis
Not have a history of cancer within the last 5 years
Not have lupus erythematosus or other rheumatic disease
Not have a history of active TB
Not have a history of drug or alcohol abuse
Not have kidney disease
Not have congestive heart failure

| Participants will receive: |

Qualified patients will receive at no charge study supplies, physical exams, study related labs, study medication and supervision by a local experienced physician. |
