This is a double-blind, placebo controlled phase # study to assess cardiovascular outcomes in subjects with inadequately controlled type 2 diabetes. This study is 2 years long and there are 11 visits total. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be 18 years of age or older
Have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
Have a HgbA1c between 6.5% and 10%
Have a documented history of coronary artery disease or history of a stroke |
| Participants will receive: |
|
All study related medications and diabetes supplies, physical exams, blood work, and EKG's at no cost. Compensation is also available for time and travel. Total compensation for completion of study is $550 over a period of 2 years. |
