| Study summary: |
|
This is a phase 3 study for patients that have been diagnosed with gout and are at high risk for heart disease. The study is a total of 5 years long and a total of 18 visits over that period of time. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Be 50 years of age or older if male
•
Be 55 years of age or older if female
•
Have a current diagnoses of gout
•
Have a history of one of the following: MI, Hospitalized Unstable Angina, Stroke, Stent Placement, Cardiac Bypass, Cardiac Catheritization, Hospitalized TIA, Peripheral Vascular Disease OR Diabetes Mellitus with evidence of (Retinopathy, Neuropathy, or Small Vessel Vascular Diseases)

All study related medications, physical exams, laboratory testing and compensation for time and travel up to $900. |
