A randomized, double-blind, placebo, parallel-group study of the efficacy and safety of Welchol as monotherapy for type 2 diabetes mellitus |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
• Have an A1C greater than 7.5 and less than 9.5
•
Be drug naive (no prior treatment with OAD) or having received pharmacologic therapy for diabetes for 3 months prior to screening

| Participants will receive: |
|
Study Medication, free exam, physician visits and stipend for time and travel. |
