This study is being conducted to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a study drug for the treatment of pain related to diabetic peripheral neuropathy caused by diabetes mellitus. |
| Qualified participants must: |
|
Be at least 18 years of age
Be diagnosed with type I or II diabetes mellitus
Be diagnosed with painful, diabetic neuropathy in your extremities for at least 3 months
Currently be receiving medication for the neuropathic pain

| Participants will receive: |
|
Study medication, physical exams, lab tests and other medical tests as necessary for the completion of the study, at no cost to you. You may also be compensated for travel expenses if you later qualify. |
