| Information about this clinic: | |
| Summit Research Network (Portland, Oregon) is an independent medical research organization. Since 1976, we have worked in cooperation with pharmaceutical companies to develop medical treatments for a variety of conditions.
We study medication-based treatments for various physical and emotional conditions. Some of these studies are undertaken to enhance our understanding of currently available medications (for example, determining optimal dose schedules). We also conduct research on medications that are not yet available, and look at questions of expanded usage (for example, determining whether an established medical treatment for depression is also effective in treating anxiety). All medications now on the market have gone through this same process.
Our goal is to expand what is known about medical treatment while offering top-quality patient care. Our patients receive all research care, mental health evaluations, medical evaluations, and supervision by our professional and experienced staff. A post study treatment program is also available to patients once their study participation has been completed. All of these services are provided at no cost to the patient. | | | |
| Summit Research has one out-patient facility in the greater Portland area. Located in the Montgomery Park building, we have excellent access to freeways and public transportation.
Equipment & Diagnostic Services:
Private offices, multiple exam rooms
Phlebotomy draw/processing capabilities including centrifuges, refrigerators and -20° freezer.
Medical equipment includes portable 12-lead ECG machines, scales, mercury sphygmomanometers.
Secured drug storage room
Access to dry ice
| | | |
| We conduct adult and some pediatric studies. | | | |
| Participants receive all research-related medical care at no cost. Study participants typically receive free diagnostic evaluations, physical examinations, electrocardiograms (ECGs), laboratory tests, and ongoing study checkups throughout the course of the study.
You and society may benefit from the information obtained from this research. Results from our studies are used to develop and refine new therapies, and these treatment innovations may help you and others with similar conditions.
