This is very true, but at the same time it's not so informative. Of course motivational and reward issues play a role in ADHD! Anyone who has it knows just how gosh darn true that is.
If the world worked like a video game, people with ADHD would be on top. Unfortunately, that isn't so. So we have to struggle...
