Last yr I had all my teeth pulled. The "healing denture" I was given took time to get used to. Then about 2 months ago, I had the "permanent" dentures made. They used the "healing" dentures to make the "custom fit". They didn't fit at all. The top had no suction and the bottoms made sore spots on the gums. I could not bite even a piece of bread and could not chew. Then I went back- they made a new set. While the top has better suction, I have several places that have made sore spots. The lower denture was "built up to correct my jaw allignment". The bottoms are so tall that I can not chew. I also can not bite anything. Is there help??? I have gone back so many times, they have a parking spot with my name on it. I just want to eat real food-- I'm sick of oatmeal and applesauce.

There is nothing worse or embarassing as a bad fitting dentures.
Go to another dentist or tell the dentist that you will. They should by all rights make them right and please just keep going back until they are right after all those are the only teeth you have. Good luck. |
