Do You Have High Triglycerides (Hypertriglyceridemia)?
Now Enrolling for a Clinical Research Study!
Hypertriglyceridemia is a high level of a certain type of fat, called triglycerides, in the blood. Uncontrolled diabetes and obesity often cause or worsen hypertriglyceridemia.
BTC of Lincoln is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study assessing the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication in lowering triglyceride levels. Elevated triglycerides may contribute to pancreatitis or hardening of the arteries. This increases the risk of stroke, heart attack, and heart disease. Most often, there are no symptoms of having elevated triglycerides.
Volunteers may qualify if you:
- Are 18 years or older
- Have fasting triglyceride levels ≥500 mg/dL and <1500 mg/dL
