Summary:

Trial is approximately 54 weeks of a single IV dose (monthly) which has demonstrated efficacy for the preventive treatment of Migraine Headache in patients with high frequency of migraine days.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 18 and 55 years of age
• Have had a diagnosis of Migraine Headache at age 35 or younger with a history of a Chronic Migraine greater than one year
• Have 15-25 headache days/month with at least 8 of the headache days identified as Migraine days
• Be willing to fill out a daily headache diary for a screening period of 28 days
• If currently taking medications eg., Fiorinal, Fioricet or any other combination or opiate - must be taking these for at least 3 months
• Be taking medications for at least 3 months if you are currently taking medications such as Fiorinal, Fioricet or any other combination or opiate
• Not have Fibromyalgia, Chronic Low Back Pain or any Pain Syndrome that requires use of regular pain medication
• Not have a history of chronic tension-type headache, cluster headache, new daily persistent headache, migraine with brainstem aura or sporadic and familial hemiplegic migraine
• Not have treatments with Botox for migraine or any other medical/cosmetic response requiring injections in head, face, or neck within 6 months of screening for study


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study medication at no charge, ongoing medical evaluation and follow up, and reimbursement for travel and inconvenience.
