The Clinical Research Center at EVMS is conducting a trial for women who are using the ESSURE method of permanent birth control and are currently experiencing heavy, frequent, or prolonged periods.

The study involves confirmation of Essure placement, an endometrial ablation (NovaSure - a treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding), and follow up visits.

Financial compensation for time maybe provided. This advertisement has been approved by the Eastern Virginia Medical School Institutional Review Board, IRB Pro00018903


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 21 and 50 years of age
• Have a successful Essure confirmation test
• Be willing to undergo a NovaSure endometrial ablation
• Complete all follow up visits required by the study
