It’s a disorder, not a decision.
If you’re one of the many people who has binge eating disorder (B.E.D.), you may feel embarrassment and guilt after eating an excessive amount of food in a set period of time. If you are diagnosed with B.E.D., you may be eligible to participate in a medical research study.
Local doctors are currently conducting a medical research study evaluating an investigational medication in adults with binge eating disorder (B.E.D.). In this study, the safety and effectiveness of the investigational medication will be evaluated when it is taken daily for 12 weeks.
To pre-qualify for this research study, you must:
- Be 18 to 55 years of age
- Be diagnosed with or meet the criteria for a diagnosis of B.E.D.
- Have at least 2 binge eating days a week for at least 6 months prior to screening
Study-related tests and investigational medication will be provided to eligible participants at no cost. In addition, reimbursement for travel and related expenses may be provided for completed study visits.
