Summary:
Do you have type 2 diabetes, take only metformin for your diabetes, and are overweight? We may be able to help! If your diabetes is not well controlled and you need to lose weight, apply!
Qualified Participants Must:
• Be type 2 diabetic
•
Take only metformin and minimum dose of 1000mg (Can be on a diet and excersizing only if not on metformin)
•
Be overweight
•
Not be child bearing either via sterilization or menopause
•
Hemoglobin A1c must be 7.0 - 10.0
Qualified Participants May Receive:
Study medication that may help control diabetes and help with weight
Diabetic counseling and glucometer/strips
Labs
Study related exams
Reimbursement for travel
