Research Site Introduction:

Redefining the origin of the cluster headaches cause which maybe lead to the global treatment of episodic chronic cluster headache (ECCH). By diagnosing evidence of a neuroma in the distribution of Zygomatico-temporal nerve in patients suffering from ECCH of unknown triggers at this time.

The purpose of this prospective study is to evaluate the effect of minor surgical procedure in the exploration of zygomaticotemporal nerve branches of the trigeminal nerve at the indicated site of the  Cluster headache burst. The exploratory procedure may progress in the excision of a “NEUROMA”, a nonmalignant tumor, and immunohistochemical pathologic evaluation of the tumor.

Research Site Description:

Corona doctors medical clinics, Inc. experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of migraine and cluster headaches, also research for the past 20 years.  We are located in Corona,  Southern California, serving nationally and internationally headaches patients. Currently, in process of an IND  application and clinical trial with the FDA. Well-organized team and office personal in handling headaches patients. Dr. Owiesy is a multispecialty and internationally trained surgeon and physician. 

Our clinic is a 3000 SF  well equipped with 7 exam rooms, 1 mile distant from the local hospital, access to freeways 15 and 91 both 30 minutes from 2 major Southern California airports surrounded by hotels. 

Patient Demographics:

Our clinic provides multiple schedules for a variety of diagnoses and general heath conditions on daily basis. We are specialized in neurological disorders especially Stroke, Migraine headaches, Cluster headaches providing a very unique protocol and approach.

Clinical Study Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

Age: 20-70 years

Ability to distinguish Cluster Headaches attacks as discrete from other headaches (i.e., tension-headache, migraine HA)

Ability to read, comprehend, and legibly and reliably record information

Ability to provide written, informed consent, and respond to pre and post-treatment questionnaires

Already on abortive and other off-label medications and psychedelics.
