Study Summary:

Studies indicate that 30-40% of patients with major depression do not respond to typical anti-depressive treatments. If you are one of these people, you may have treatment-resistant depression. This research study is testing the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication for treatment-resistant major depression. This study requires up to 13 visits over a period of 16 weeks.


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18-55 years of age
• Be experiencing an episode of major depression and have not benefited from 1 to 3 different anti-depression medications
• Not have obsessive-compulsive disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder


Qualified Participants May Receive:

All study-related exams, lab-tests, and study medication at no charge. Compensation for time and travel may also be provided.
