Study Summary:

ICON Development Solutions is conducting a research study of an investigational medication in women 18-70 who have type II diabetes and are taking Metformin.

The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and tolerability of single and multiple doses of an investigational medication being developed for individuals with type II diabetes. The study drug will be given by an injection given just under the skin.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be female
• Be 18 to 70 years of age
• Have type II diabetes and have been taking a stable dose of Metformin for at least 4 weeks
• Have a BMI between 22 and 40 kg/m2
• Be surgically sterile (hysterectomy or ovaries removed– must be documented)
• Or be postmenopausal (no period for at least 2 years or over age 60)
• Complete 1 screening visit, 6 non-consecutive overnights, and 12 outpatient visits

Qualified Participants May Receive:

All study-related exams at no cost and compensation up to $2,925 for time and travel.
