Study Summary:

ICON Development Solutions is conducting a research study in overweight but generally healthy men and women ages 30-65.

This study will help researchers compare tests to measure how the body controls blood sugar levels and may help standardize how these tests are conducted for people with type 2 diabetes. The study will include IV (intravenous) infusions.

Vital signs, ECGs, and physical examinations will be performed, and blood and urine samples will be obtained during this study. Glucose tolerance will also be tested.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 30-65 years of age
• Have a BMI between 27 and 40
• Not have a history of diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, or any absorption impairment
• Complete 2 screening visits, and 7 overnight stays (2 four day/three night stays and 1 two day/one night stay)

Qualified Participants May Receive:

All study related exams at no cost and compensation up to $1,800 for time and travel.
