Clinical Trial 12614

San Antonio, TX 78209

Study Summary:

ICON Development Solutions is conducting a medical research study in men and women ages 18-65 who have been diagnosed with, and are being treated for, mild to moderate hypertension.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate an investigational medication to determine what effect it may have on blood pressure. The study medication is being developed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Because people with rheumatoid arthritis often develop high blood pressure, it is very important to learn what effect the medication may have on blood pressure.

Vital signs, ECGs, and physical examinations will be performed, and blood and urine samples will be obtained during this study. Participants will receive the study medication and a placebo; both will be given orally in capsule form.
