Study Summary:

Healthy Volunteers Needed for Naloxone Delivery Study

Researchers at the University of Kentucky, College of Pharmacy are conducting a research study and seek healthy volunteers to compare an experimental formulation of naloxone against an FDA-approved naloxone formulation. Participants would receive naloxone as a spray in the nose, and/or as an injection in the vein, in a muscle, and under the skin. The study may include up to 5 visits in which blood will be drawn from your vein several times over approximately 9 hours.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 18 and 45 years of age
• Be non-smoking and in general good health
• Have no respiratory illness
• Have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30, Never have abused opioid drugs
• Not currently be taking any medication

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Participants will be compensated for their time.
