Study Summary:

A Randomized, Double-blin, Placebo-Controlled, Phase 3 Study to Evaluate the Efficacy, Safety, and Tolerability of XXXX in the Treatment of Patients with Diarrhea-Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Qualified Participants Must:

• Be between 18 and 80 years of age
• Have a diagnosis of IBS with a subtype of diarrhea defined by the Rome III criteria as loose (mushy) or watery stool≥25% and hard or lumpy stool <25% of bowel movements. Have had a colonoscopy performed within the past 10 years if at least 50 years of age
• Have had a flexible sigmoidoscopy, double contrast barium enema, or CT colonography within the past 5 if no colonoscopy
• Have documented weigh loss within the past 6 months
• Have nocturnal symptoms
• Have blood mixed with their stool (excluding any blood from hemorrhoids.)

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Compensation of $825.00.
