Study Summary:

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled,phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of jnj-27018966 in the treatment of patients with diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.

Qualified Participants Must:

• Between the 18 and 80 years of age
• Have diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome
• Be willing to be compliant with study procedures including completing a daily electronic diary by phone or via internet during the screening period and through the study

Qualified Participants May Receive:

Investigational medication or inactive placebo, study-related testing, physical exams, and lab work at no charge.
